Fisher Industries is currently seeking an Environmental Manager for the Tempe, Arizona corporate office. The Fisher Industries team employs over 700 aggregate processing professionals throughout the Dakotas, Arizona, California, Texas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Fisher Industries serves all aspects of the aggregate processing industry, from the design and fabrication of aggregate equipment to processing and end use of aggregate materials. Over the past six decades, we have successfully completed numerous interstate construction and re-construction projects, large municipal and residential projects, and have consistently provided aggregate products that meet and exceed tough roadway specifications.

This position is responsible for managing Fisher's Environmental Department, which includes developing, implementing, and managing all environmental programs for the company. The Environmental Manager will provide guidance with respect to environmental permitting, compliance issues, NOV resolution, and storm water, spill reporting, and tracking and addressing known environmental liabilities for the company.


  • Handles environmental permitting for new and existing Fisher facilities.
  • Manages routine and ongoing environmental compliance issues.
  • Prepares applicable environmental documents and plans.
  • Oversees various compliance initiative, including but not limited to: Air Quality, SPCC/SWPPP, Tier 2, etc.
  • Maintains regular contact and interface with regulatory agencies on environmental or related issues and concerns.
  • Manages and directs Environmental Department personnel.
  • Maintains current knowledge of environmental rules and regulations pertinent to Fisher operations and provides guidance to address pending changes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
  • 5-10 years' experience in environmental management or related function.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat.


  • 5-10 years' experience with air quality permitting and compliance as related to the mining and construction industry.
  • Excellent working knowledge of air quality regulations in the following states: Arizona, Nevada, California and Texas.
  • Familiarity with federal NFPS and NESHAP regulations.
  • Knowledge of other federal and state environmental regulations.
  • Working knowledge of air dispersion modeling a plus.
